EatDish
Branding
EatDish is a start-up, developing a rating app, to help you find out what menu items were the most popular in a given restaurant. Kind of like a friend who tells you what’s the best thing to order at a place, but instead in a fun app on your phone.
In the discovery phase, EatDish was not just meant to be a rating app but also with some light social network aspects so reviewers could build rapport among the sea of reviewers and ultimately guide folks to a great meal.
It was imperative the logo should embody the same sense of light-heartedness and fun—this was realized in a custom E that is a bit exaggerated and cartoonish, then took a bite out of it. This bite was informal and unusual but unique and could be used in fun ways like in a die-cut business card.

About
Hello! I'm Tom. I've been a professional designer for just about 10 years now and have always felt an affinity for problem solving. I believe designing thoughtful solutions begins with a deep understanding of three things: the problem, the user or audience and desired outcome.
When I'm not working I enjoy moonlighting as a photographer, camping, playing video games and occasionally making noises on my guitar.
